The Eggborough site has been at the heart of Saint-Gobain Glass’s success in the UK, continuously pushing the boundaries of glass manufacturing. A standout achievement came in 2010 when the plant achieved a world record float yield, a testament to our operational excellence. Over the years, we’ve been recognised for our dedication to quality and innovation, winning prestigious industry accolades such as G Awards Glass Company of the Year in 2015 and 2022, and British Glass Company of the Year 2017 and 2019.

We have been a pioneer in embedding sustainability principles into every aspect of our operations. Our Glass Forever recycling programme has set industry standards for circular economy practices by significantly reducing waste and reintroducing cullet into the production cycle. In 2021, we took a major step forward by upgrading our furnace with a more efficient and larger state-of-the-art furnace, further enhancing our production capabilities while reducing our environmental footprint.
Our commitment to sustainability goes beyond our processes. Through continuous innovation, we aim to redefine the role of glass in creating energy-efficient, environmentally-friendly buildings that contribute to a more harmonious and sustainable global environment.
The success of our Eggborough facility is built on the dedication and expertise of our workforce. Notably, 28 employees have been with us since the early days, reflecting a culture of loyalty, teamwork, and continuous development. We believe that investing in our people’s well-being and growth is fundamental to our success, and this commitment will continue to drive our future achievements.
