The Building

HALO Digital, Cyber and Innovation Park is a pioneering example of sustainable urban development in Scotland. Situated on a 23-acre brownfield site, which was once home to the Johnnie Walker Scotch Whisky distillery, today, HALO is redefining the landscape of mixed-use developments, whilst championing the ethos of net zero carbon footprint.

Central to HALO’s ethos is the Enterprise and Innovation Centre, envisioned as the heartbeat of the development. This commercial hub was specifically designed to stimulate digital learning and inspire progression for businesses of all sizes in the local area.

The Glass

COOL-LITE® XTREME 70/33 applies a triple silver layer to PLANICLEAR® glass using cathodic sputtering under vacuum conditions. This advanced technology achieves remarkable selectivity of up to 2.25, delivering superior solar control while maintaining a neutral aesthetic.

COOL-LITE® XTREME 70/33 contributes to the creation of comfortable interior spaces by addressing various factors such as aesthetics, interior design, noise levels, and natural light. As part of the Saint-Gobain solar control and thermal insulation range, it can also be used with our STADIP® Silence and STADIP® Protect range to provide additional benefits like noise reduction and enhanced safety and security.

The benefits of COOL-LITE® XTREME 70/33 include:

  • High light transmission of up to 70% to help maximise daylight.
  • Low solar factor of only 0.33 which helps to reduce cooling loads and the potential requirement for air conditioning within a building.
  • Excellent centre pane U-value of 1.0W/m2K; delivering excellent thermal insulation and helping to drive energy savings.
